Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor IT system performance and network connectivity to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in troubleshooting for all issues related to network, operating system software, applications or equipment failure
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades
- Assist in network design and implementation and recommend best practice on network infrastructure setup
- Perform systems hardening, evaluate systems vulnerabilities and apply patches/ fixes
- Assist in planning for disaster recovery activities and documentation of procedures
Requirements
- A recognised University Degree in Computer Science/ IT or relevant qualification. Those with CCNA or CCNP certification would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in network engineering administration and preferably with good knowledge in Cisco switches, routers and firewalls
- Possess in-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
- Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
