SCOPE AND WORK OBJECTIVE
The Channel Marketing Executive for the General Trade Channel is responsible for driving the sales/marketing strategies and initiatives that increase sales and brand presence of our Kaiia, natural mineral water in general trade outlets, such as general trade retailers, wholesalers, and local shops. The role involves working closely with the sales team and distributors to ensure effective product placement, promotions, and engagement in the general trade sector.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Channel Strategy Development:
- - Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the general trade channel, focusing on increasing product penetration and visibility.
- - Identify key opportunities for growth within the general trade sector, including new market segments and geographic areas.
- - Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine channel strategies.
b. Promotion and Trade Marketing:
- - Plan and execute trade marketing activities, including promotions, product sampling, and POS materials, to drive sales in general trade outlets.
- - Collaborate with distributors and sales teams to ensure the effective execution of trade marketing plans.
- - Monitor and evaluate the impact of promotional activities on sales and brand performance.
C. Distributor and Sales Support:
- - Provide sales/marketing support to distributors and sales teams to achieve sales targets and expand market reach in the general trade channel.
- - Develop and deliver training programs for distributors and sales representatives on product knowledge, marketing strategies, and sales techniques.
- - Work closely with the sales team to address market challenges and optimize distribution strategies.

- D. Relationship Management:
- - Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders in the general trade channel.
- - Collaborate with distributors to develop joint marketing initiatives that drive product awareness and sales.
- - Negotiate and manage trade marketing budgets and agreements with distributors and retail partners
E. Market Research and Insights:
- - Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape within the general trade channel.
- - Use insights to inform marketing strategies, product positioning, and promotional activities.
- - Provide regular reports on market performance, distributor activities, and campaign outcomes.
F. Budget Management:
- - Manage the marketing budget for the general trade channel, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI.
- - Track and report on budget spend, ensuring all activities are within the allocated budget.
G. Another Task might be assigned by the Head of Marketing or Management team from time to time
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field. A background in healthcare or nutrition is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in channel marketing or trade marketing, preferably within the FMCG or beverage industry.
- Experience working with general trade channels, including independent retailers and distributors, is highly desirable.
