SCOPE AND WORKING OBJECTIVE

The Channel Marketing Executive for the Modern Trade Channel is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, product adoption, and sales growth of our Kaiia Brand within the Modern Trade sector. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, and customer service, to ensure that sales/marketing initiatives align with business objectives and effectively reach to all related Modern Trade Outlets/Chains.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Channel Strategy Development:

  • - Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the modern trade channel, focusing on increasing brand visibility and sales performance.
  • - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics within the modern trade segment.
  • - Identify growth opportunities within the channel and recommend strategies to capture market share.

B. Promotion and Merchandising:

- Plan and execute in-store promotions, point-of-sale (POS) displays, and merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and consumer engagement.

  • - Coordinate with visual merchandising teams to ensure brand consistency and optimal product placement in stores.
  • Analyze sales data to assess the effectiveness of promotions and make data-driven recommendations for future campaigns.

 

C. Sales Support:

  • - Collaborate with the sales team to create and provide marketing tools that support the sales process within the Modern Trade channel.
  • - Conduct training sessions for the sales team on the key benefits and features of the products, as well as the specific needs of Modern Trade Customers.
  • - Monitor sales performance and work with the sales team to optimize strategies based on feedback and data analysis.

 

D. Relationship Management:

  • - Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, modern trade accounts and modern retail partners.
  • - Collaborate with modern retail partners to develop joint marketing initiatives that drive sales and brand loyalty.
  • - Negotiate and manage trade marketing budgets and agreements with modern retail partners.

 

E. Market Research and Insights:

  • - Conduct market research to gather insights on consumer behavior, competitor activities, and industry trends within the modern trade channel.
  • - Use data and insights to refine marketing strategies and product offerings.
  • - Provide regular reports on market performance, consumer trends, and campaign effectiveness.

 

F. Budget Management:

  • - Manage the marketing budget for the modern trade channel, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI.
  • - Track and report on budget spend, ensuring all activities are within the allocated budget.

 

G. Another Task might be assigned by the Head of Marketing or Management team from time to time.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field. A background in healthcare or nutrition is a plus.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in channel marketing or trade marketing, preferably within the FMCG or beverage industry.
  3. Experience working with modern trade channels, such as supermarkets and retail chains, is highly desirable.
