POSITION DESCRIPTION
The incumbent is responsible for controlling the credit operations of the branches.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- - Review 100% of all customer credit files based on the BQC criteria for selection.
- - On the customer's business premises or operation to establish whether it is in operation.
- - On the collateral, ensure that the collateral information provided in the credit proposal is accurate and the valuation is appropriate.
- - Conduct a monthly surprise cash count at the branch's vault at least once a month.
- - Conduct a review of pledged collateral at the branch's vault.
- - To perform a sample credit review in a month.
- - To perform spot checks and credit reviews at the branch.
- - To conduct site physical collateral, review every 2 months for loan limits equal to 1 million dollars or greater.
- - Ensure that all findings are reported appropriately and completely.
- - Submit report to Manager/Head as agreed timeframe.
- - Maintains the confidentiality of the bank and customer affairs in accordance with the bank's code of conduct.
- - Must perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION
- - Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
- - Fresh graduates with experience in the financial industry are preferred.
- - At least 2 years of experience in the banking or MFI sector and at least 1 year of experience in the current position.
- - Good spoken or written English.
- - Highly motivated, committed, and good at communicating.
- - Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and email.
- - Being able to work under high pressure and deadlines.
