JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate cash registers and POS systems effectively and efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and transactions.
  • Greet and assist patients and customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Process payments from patients for services rendered, ensuring the correct amount is collected and providing change as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier area, ensuring all supplies and equipment are stocked and readily available.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and general information about the clinic in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to resolve any customer issues or complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Balance cash drawers and reconcile transaction records at the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all data protection regulations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, organizing documents, and scheduling appointments.
  • Keep abreast of clinic policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate information to patients and customers.
  • Follow all safety and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members and patients.
  • Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to cashiering and customer service.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in basic math skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with cash handling and point of sale systems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Flexibility to work morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications and software
  • Familiarity with health insurance procedures (preferred but not required)
  • Previous cashier or retail experience (preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
